Alton Warranty

The rigid vinyl extrusions used in the product are warranted to be first-grade exterior-quality material, designed specifically for outdoor weather and sun exposure. It is thereby warranted that no finer rigid exterior PVC is available on the market.

The PVC used in Alton windows will not rot, warp, pit, chip, corrode, peel or blister and is not adversely affected by acids or salt air. This warranty is in effect for a period of twenty (20) years from date of installation. Alton agrees to repair or replace, free of charge, any rigid vinyl parts returned to the factory if found to be defective. On site service calls will be charged at prevailing rate.

All moving parts are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years from date of installation.

We the manufacturer warrant the thermal glass seal against defects resulting in material obstruction of vision from film formation caused by dust or moisture condensation on the internal glass surfaces for five (5) years from date of installation.

This warranty is effective so long as the frames have not been abused or altered, and have received reasonable maintenance.

Item #3 will be honored provided that:

1. The insulated unit has not been abused or tampered with or does not have sealed muntins.

2. The glass has not been cracked or broken.

3, The unit has not been subjected to stress resulting from localized application of heat which causes excessive temperature differentials over the glass surface.

4. The unit has been installed properly, according to the recommended installation techniques.

No representation is made with respect to condensation on the windows, as condensation is the natural result of moisture in the house and changes in temperature and humidity. It does not indicated a defective window.

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, abuse, improper maintenance, accident, negligence or any other cause which is beyond our control.

The company does not cover the cost of labor of removal or installing any replacement units or parts.

THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING PERFORMANCE OF THE WARRANT OBLIGATIONS IS SIMPLE.

It you feel that your window is defective, contact the contractor who installed it for inspection. If the contractor or

party performing the inspection believes a part to be defective, the part should be taken or sent, postage prepaid, to the

address below along with the proof of the date of installation.

Our factory inspection will then determine if the part complies with this Limited Warranty. If we determine that any part or parts of the window do not comply with this Limited Warranty, we will replace this part with a new part, according to the warranty, to the Purchaser and will send it to the Purchaser/Distributor within Sixty (60) days of its receipt, freight collect.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND EXTENDS ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER. AFTER THE EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRES, THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR ANY DELAYS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS WARRANTY DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND ITS CONTROL.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from province to province.
